Rotary Convention Fundraiser
Bemidji, MN – April 25, 2013
Wow, where to begin….. Awesome! Your guys were spectacular! Not only are they talented musicians, their ability to get our crowd of 300 involved was nothing short of amazing. It was a perfect kick-off to our convention and we were flooded with compliments!
And they also did a fabulous job of working Rotary’s Polio eradication efforts into their act, and through that raised nearly $900!
The attendees, which ranged in ages from 15 to 85, were a bit of a wild card to me whether they would get into this type of entertainment. They did in a big way, all ages. We had a whole crowd of high school exchange students on stage at one point, and later a Rotarian celebrating his 75th birthday did a pretty mean Elvis dance!

The fundraiser on Saturday was AMAZING! 176 Keys had people out of their seats and dancing from the moment they took the stage. It was insanity! People who I thought might roll their eyes at such unbridled fun were some of the first ones up on the stage. The 2 hours flew by and I was bummed when it was over. We would like to book again for 2014 (though we will need to find a bigger venue). The musicians were professional, kind and totally hilarious! The fact that they donated their tips back to the Ottawa YMCA at the end of the night, was icing on the cake. People are STILL talking about it 5 days later…

We were thrilled to have 176 Keys play on back to back nights for us. The first was for a corporate party of about 45 people and the second for a community fundraiser of 450 people that had two nonprofits “dueling” to raise the most money. No matter the crowd size, they got everyone involved having a great time. On the second night, we raised 50% more than we expected with a large part of that being because of how the players got the crowd fired up!

Prior to the 176 Keys Fun Piano show we have had DJ’s playing music, or we have done casino night – gambling, we had a rock band one year, too loud, magic show once, never again.
These guys put on a good show and kept the crowd involved and entertained. Lots of group participation, the comments I have heard is that this is the best Holiday party so far, people that sat up front had a blast, the people that didn’t sit up front just wanted to see others look foolish. People thought it was funny watching the Bank President and CEO ride horses around the crowd and having the staff slap them on the back side. The President/CEO didn’t mind. Lots of fun, we may have to do it again.

We probably had 230 people there, are tent was setup for 260. Last year we had 180 or so. I would expect it to grow going forward. I hope the guys enjoyed it as well. Dueling Pianos was much more than our client anticipated. They were certain their convention guests would not dance, sing, or interact with each other — or with the pianists. Oh My. What a night!!! My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much. It was definitely a success, even though the crowd was much smaller than we had hoped. The guys were quick to aid us in a set up that worked much better for a small crowd, and they utilized the layout to get the crowd involved. Some who came up to “perform” surprised us with their “talent”.
The officers of the club are already sure we will do this again, so please keep me updated with your schedule / calendar.

Just wanted to say thank you for our Friday night event. It went over awesome. The crowd loved it and the guys were fantastic. They were so awesome when I met them and helped me calm my fears about how the night would go. It’s a lot of pressure to pick the entertainment for a fundraiser. I felt like its success or failure was squarely on my shoulders. I have had nothing but positive comments from the people who attended. I could not believe how EVERYONE there was up and participating. It felt so good to have some good old fashioned fun.
It would have been a shame to pick any other dueling piano company and not have the experience we did. I have no idea what made me go with you guys, but I am so glad that I trusted my gut. Many, many requests to have you guys back next year. As soon as we set the date, believe me, I’ll be contacting you guys. Thank you so much again, they were awesome!

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! AMAZING!!! BEST DUELING PIANO EVER!!! I found 176 Keys online when I was just looking into prices to have a dueling pianos show at my wedding. I had no idea how the pianos would work, how expensive it would be, or if these guys would even be any good! Despite reading all of their wonderful reviews, I was still a little skeptical. However, I was so ridiculously pleasantly surprised from my very first e-mail/phone call with Sam all the way to the wedding reception. Sam was incredibly professional and patient with me, especially considering how early I contacted him about the wedding (1 year before the wedding, before we were even engaged). He followed up with me monthly and sent me newsletters with specials for my region…very much appreciated. In fact, after notifying family of our engagement, Sam was the next person I contacted to check availability for our wedding. Given such short notice (only 6 week engagement), he worked with me to help find the best possible date/price for our wedding.
As for the wedding reception, words cannot even describe how AMAZING the guys were! I have been to many different dueling piano shows in many different cities, and they were by far the BEST! Sam was not kidding when he said they stress audience participation! I think every single person was up dancing at some point (if not multiple times) during our reception; even my husband’s 87 year old grandfather was up and loving every second of it!!! Even today, a month and a half after our wedding, people are still talking about how much fun our reception was! The most common thing people are saying is, “this was the most fun wedding I have ever been to.” They made our wedding reception everything and more that I hoped it would be! If you are looking for unique entertainment, you should definitely book with 176 Keys…you will not be disappointed! They are worth every penny and more!!! : )

We couldn’t have been happier with how well they ‘read’ our crowd and responded with a show that literally appealed to everyone, and kept all of our guests totally engaged and participating in everything throughout the night.
The show was unique and very creative. All our friends loved the show. Even the wait staff told me that it was the best entertainment they can remember seeing at any affair at their venue.

We were 1 of 7 corporate sponsors at a tradeshow who were able to host a hospitality suite. So there were 6 other parties going on at the same time as ours, sort of like a block party to kick off the event. We were looking for something entertaining that would keep people hanging around in our suite. I had seen a dueling piano show before, and so I started looking for one in San Antonio. 176 Keys was ideal since they were able to travel and provided all their own equipment. They were a big hit at the event. Everyone had a great time singing and dancing along to the songs. Throughout the night we had well over 70 people in our suite thanks to the dueling pianos (there were only 120 people total, so the rest were spread out over the other 6 suites). Our event was a huge success! Thanks 176 Keys Dueling Pianos!

It was, as always, a fantastic show! The place was full and I got good reports from my staff who stayed all the way to the end. We had 23 ten top tables and several cabaret tables around the room, and the ten tops were full within about 10 minutes and remained full for the duration of the show. I have only heard good things from everyone and we will definitely look forward to seeing you all again next year. Thanks for everything!

Dueling piano players were brought in from Colorado, and half the tips from the night were donated to support multiple sclerosis. Mike Gardner, president of Kappa Sigma, said the bar owner came to his fraternity and asked if it would be interested in hosting the event. “As far as I’m concerned, this goes to a great cause,” Gardner said. “The turnout’s been great, and everybody’s having a great time.” The small bar, which typically wouldn’t see so many customers on any given night, was packed from one wall to the next…”
