Nisswa, Minnesota, has a population of 1,971.  Map coordinates are 46º 30’N 94º 17’W.  Has a store called Zaiser’s:  shoes, kitchenware, and kid’s toys.  Frank and Ty were there on Friday — and the Nisswa audience, which included lots of kids, had a blast.

No word on how many dancing shoes were moccasins…

This week, we have not one, but TWO gigs in the only U.S. state whose east and west borders are formed by rivers. (Want a hint? The cities we will be in are Ottumwa and Boyden.) Meanwhile, Jefrey and Steven will be heading up to Carrington, ND. And Sam, George, and Matt will be trucking east — WAY east — to play in Portland, ME.

Which means 176 Keys will hit longitudes from 70ºW to just about 100ºW. That’s a lotta latitude — done with a FUN attitude.

(Still want to know what that state we’re going to twice is? That would be Iowa — about 90º W to 96ºW.)

Last weekend, Ty and Jefrey were in Glenwood, IA, providing the entertainment for a just-wed couple and their guests. Up and on their feet and engaged, they were; as always, a 176 Keys FUN Pianos wedding is about the interaction. You might say that Mills County’s county seat was having a hopping good time thanks to the assembled guests being out of theirs. (Seats, that is.)

Let’s see where the reports come in from this weekend…and what manner of FUN was had….

Sometimes we get booked for smaller private events, such as the gig George & Matt played in Milwaukee a week ago. The clients had worked hard, and they wanted dinner and a show, and hired us for the show. They got it: big FUN in a private room at a popular local venue.

Mega-interactive entertainment for any crowd!

Full moon on Friday the 13th? Nothing but good in dueling pianos land. George and Matt played for the Elks Club in Elwood, IN, and things went so well they were asked to stay an extra hour. Meanwhile, the same moon looked on Salina, Kansas as Jefrey and Ty put the FUN in our client’s fundraising efforts. Which goes to show, never let a little triskaidekaphobia interrupt your plans for good times where 176 Keys are playing!

Tom and Steve played to a happy crowd in Las Vegas, bringing the crowd to their feet with FUN! No sitting back with one-armed bandits for that bunch…the audience was up and at ’em in FunPianos style.

The fundraiser on Saturday was AMAZING! 176 Keys had people out of their seats and dancing from the moment they took the stage. It was insanity. People who I thought might roll their eyes at such unbridled fun were some of the first ones up on the stage. The 2 hours flew by and I was bummed when it was over. We would like to book again for 2014 (though we will need to find a bigger venue). The musicians were professional, kind and totally hilarious! The fact that they donated their tips back to the Ottawa YMCA at the end of the night, was icing on the cake. People are STILL talking about it 5 days later…When can we book again? 🙂

The YMCA held a fundraiser in Ottawa, IL last Friday. Everyone was up and at ’em at the event as the funds raised amount grew. Even the 176 Keys Fun Piano players donated their tips back to the YMCA! It was a request-driven, mega-interactive night!
