176 keys fun pianos played at our recent event of about 250. They were very professional, on time, courteous, and did a great job reading and involving our guests. I was amazed at how they got even the most serious folks to loosen up for a couple of hours and have a great time. I could not have been more pleased in the way the players handled our event and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of corporate entertainment. We have had bands, magicians, hypnotists, ventriloquists, mentalists, you name it but this was by far the best according to our guests.

We had a FABULOUS time on Saturday night, the players were absolutely fantastic and made the night so enjoyable! In large group settings it’s sometimes hard to have entertainment that everyone truly enjoys and has fun with, and of course you’re going to have a few that would’ve preferred something a little more low-key or so – but I tell you what, the majority of our group fell in love with Fun Pianos Dueling Pianos! The guys made it so fun, got the audience involved, we had a ton of laughs at and with our co-workers, it was great.

We have had 176 Keys entertain at our fundraiser two (2) years in a row and we will definitely be looking to book them for year three (3). Thank you 176 Keys for providing a fantastic evening of entertainment, laughs and fun! This was the second 176 Keys event my husband and I attended. We had SUCH a blast at both events! The piano players are very good at kicking off a fun filled evening, and keeping the energy level high all night. We are always sad when the night comes to an end!

Oh my God. It was amazing. Just wanted to touch base quickly and tell you that 100% of our guests (225 of them to be exact) said it was the BEST wedding they’ve ever been too. Yesterday, Oct 13th 2012, our son was married in LaCrosse WI. When he told us a month ago that the entertainment was dueling pianos we were curious as we had never heard of such a thing. Well, you need to know that the players did an excellent performance!! This is something we will tell all our co-workers about and have nothing but praise for this entertainment. Dueling Pianos for kids? Yes…IF it is Fun Pianos!

When we receive an inquiry for an event we aren’t a good fit for, we will skip the sale and let the inquirer know. I’d like to think the primary reason is because I am an honest and good guy. While it is true than I am those things (I hope), the main reason we do this is because if we are a bad fit for entertainment at an event, people will remember us a bad entertainment. We haven’t been doing this for 14 years by thinking of the short-term goals of getting “one more gig”. And frankly, I’m too busy to book shows I know are going to be a nightmare.

Funerals: I can’t imagine a funeral is a good place for us to do our show…unless I am convinced that the family wants it to be a tie of upbeat celebration like they do at New Orleans-area funerals.

Post-proms: This also used to be taboo. We do a good job of keeping up with current the tunes night-life people are listening to…but to keep up with the material of 18-year olds, not to mention their fickle personalities on such things…we did a few of these and quite honestly they didn’t go great.

When we flipped the script from standard dueling pianos to audience-participation and interaction many years ago, all of a sudden we became a hit at these functions! Like the rest of our shows, no longer was the entertainment about the songs, it was about the AUDIENCE, and the audience having FUN!

We have a couple such parties scheduled this year, bringing Fun Pianos dueling pianos Goodland KS (technically a “senior party” and in Superior WI. We are excited to get these almost-adults in on the ground floor of having FUN!

Duluth

Anyone familiar with the great port on the Great Lake that is Superior will not be surprised that TripAdvisor recommendations for what to do when you are in Duluth lean heavily toward things having to do with the beautiful surroundings: The Apostle Islands, Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory, various state parks and trails. Folks familiar with general history won’t be surprised that the recommendations include a railroad museum, a logging camp, and an iron ore museum,or that one of the local parks is named for Leif Erikson. Folks really keen on history might know that when President Calvin Coolidge commemorated the 100th anniversary of the first Norwegian immigrants, he was in Minnesota, and mentioned Leif as the discoverer of North America. (Sorry, Columbians. You still get your day in October.) Folks RIDICULOUSLY into their history and/or History Channel buffs may remember the great Kensington Rune Stones, found by a farmer on the other side of the state, claimed to be left behind by Erikson’s expedition. Over the years, this has often ben rebuffed as a hoax. However, current investigations give them a “genuine” rating, so that statue of Erikson in Duluth may just rest on a spot Erikson actually stepped upon. Maybe.
ANYWAY, enough long tales. We were there. In the middle of August.
